CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE
Building Resilience through PTSD Massage
6 CE HOURS :: IN PERSON TRAINING
PA STATE BOARD OF MASSAGE THERAPY APPROVED
This six-hour in-person course trains massage therapists to effectively support clients impacted by psychological trauma by integrating trauma-informed principles into bodywork practice.
Participants will explore the mind-body connection in trauma, understand how Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) shape physical and emotional patterns, and learn practical strategies to foster safety, trust, and resilience in sessions.
Through guided discussion, an ACE self-assessment, breathwork practice, and applied demonstrations, therapists will gain tools to adapt their work for clients with PTSD, including environmental setup, trauma-sensitive communication, flexible draping, weighted blanket use, and therapeutic scalp and foot techniques.
